07/292013

Raja's child is super cute; I can’t wait to meet him. Also trace is looking super old; tell him to quit growing up so fast. This week has been great; I baptized a family last night, and stayed in my old sector last night because they asked that I be the one to baptize them! It was an awesome baptismal service. I go back to Mataiea this evening
.
There were some transfers here this past week, I’m staying in my sector and my companion is going somewhere else...obviously. It’s going to be great with my next companion, I’m not worried at all, I’ve only heard good things about him. Life is beautiful here in Tahiti, in every sense of the word. I’ve been blessed to serve here. I don’t know what I did to deserve all of this, but I must have washed a few more dishes than everybody else in the pre-earth life haha.

August then September, 21 years old, then October and I’m home in November. I don’t want to leave yet! Can’t you guys wait another year or something? My mission president has me on a ''secret mission'' for the moment, its actually pretty rewarding; I can’t really say what it is, but ask me after my mission and I will tell you all. I don’t have much time since the others have things planned, so this will have to do for this week’s letter. No pictures this week sorry! I love you all!

07/21/2014
This week has been pretty crazy; of course a lot of miracles are happening. It’s becoming very normal. This weekend I will be going to my last sector to baptize two of my favorite people on earth. A little girl named Ravahere and then my bro Ate, Our new mission president is really cool about being in the lives of our investigators, so he is letting me go to both of these baptisms! Also, in the pictures that I am sending this week, I assisted a baptism of an investigator that I taught when I was in Hao, but I was transferred right before her baptism. I had lost contact with her until our reunion last week when the sister missionaries that teach her announced her baptism. I was so happy that I had found her again, and to know that she continued the lessons with the missionaries. I surprised her at her baptism and she almost jumped on me haha. I love that lady, her name is Olga by the way, and it’s awesome. The second best part of the baptism was seeing some of the old investigators that I taught and baptized out there. The Lord blessed me to be able to see them again before I leave. I was probably the happiest Elder in Tahiti that Night.
This week during our lessons, the spirit has been super strong and has been leading us like crazy; helping us say the things that need to be said at just the right moment. We had two lessons with two couples and we had already planned and prepared the lessons for the two, but when we started the lessons, the spirit told me to teach something completely different. So we did, and at the end, we ended up saying all the things that the investigators needed to hear. We should be seeing 1 marriage and 4 baptisms out of it in the next few weeks! Working with the spirit is super helpful. We also went to a member’s house this week to have a huge Tahitian feast. "Maa Tahiti" I literally became sick because I ate too much. I felt like I couldn’t move for about 2 days... The best part was, that night after we had eaten, we taught a lesson on the word of wisdom. I felt a little guilty haha.
Life is as good as ever; my mission is slowly but speedily coming to an end. I’m happy for constant reminders from the Lord, telling me that he is here. I love my life, I love my mission. Things are pretty nice here in Tahiti ha. I love you all, have a great week!

Well Just to get things started, you guys make me laugh thinking that I’m lost on a savage island. Actually it’s pretty close to that haha. But No, I’m just here in my new sector called Mataiea, just before the Presque isle. It’s pretty dang great here, the members are great in the ward, and the lifestyle is a lot more laid back, kind of like when I was out in Hao. Scary thing is, I’ve been thinking that this very well could be my last sector on my mission. Of course I will be asking the pres. to send me back to my last sector before I leave, I love and miss those people way too much.
Sorry for the lack of consistency when it comes to emails lately. For some reason, all of our members here are stuck in the 40's meaning no one has a computer. Anyway, I’m alive and doing better than ever. The mission just continues to get more and more crazy, We have a new mission president and you can already feel the huge change that he is bringing to the mission. He is a great guy and I have a lot of respect for him. Sadly I will only be here for the baby steps of his mission and will have to see his full potential from America. But I think I will be coming back here to Tahiti as soon as I can to see all these people again. I may just find my wife here so that I can have an easier way of coming back here whenever I want!
We had a baptism yesterday, it went really well, the service was simple, but the best part for me was watching the look on the face of the one who baptized. It was the first time that he had ever baptized someone, and the Lord gave him the great blessing of having that first baptism be his brother! I love my mission. I wish that I had more time to let you all know the other things that have happened. But I don't, so I will just send a bunch of pictures instead. Enjoy!

I love you all, Stay safe this week!
