email from Mission President...

Elder Fyffe sends his love.  He wanted me to let you know of the schedule for the departing missionaries.  They will travel from Taenga to Makemo and then fly from Makemo to Papeete. They will have interviews with the President and lunch, then a testimony meeting. The remaining time will be for them to prepare everything to come home.  They will be allowed to attend the temple and then fly out as scheduled.
He wanted to let you know he drank 8 coconuts yesterday.  They either drink bottled water, coconuts or have filtered water bottles.  He is excited to see you all again.
Thanks for all of your support.  We love elder Fyffe.

Letter from Mission President...
Sorry for taking so long in responding,  We have had Elder Nielsen from our Area Presidency here and it has been a bit busy.  I talked with Elder Fyffe on Sunday Night and read him your letter.  He was glad to hear from the family.  They had two baptisms this last week and the work is progressing well.  They are doing a great job.  Great missionaries.  I think they know everyone on the island by now.
They took a small boat with a member to a small neighboring island to meet with some investigators.  There were about 9 people I believe.  They eat a lot of fish and they have no running water.  They shower from water collected in a barrel from the rain storms.  They also wash their clothes with rain water as well.  He had a cold a couple of weeks ago and so was a bit under the weather but is doing fine and back in good form.
What an experience they are having and what a significant change is being made in their lives and the lives of the people they teach.  His companion is Elder Sorensen from Richfield Utah and they seem to be getting along great.  Time is flying by and only another month before they return to Papeete for their release meeting.
Thanks for all of your support and know that we love Elder Fyffe.  He is always so pleasant to be around and he loves the people and they love him.  Thanks for sharing him with us.  We are very fortunate to have him here.

Dear Brother and Sister Fyffe;
It was our pleasure to have recently been introduced to Elder Fyffe.  We are happy to be here in the Tahiti Papeete Mission with your missionary and look forward to serving with him in hastening the work of the Savior in this part of the world.  The experiences that your son will have while serving here in Tahiti will bless him throughout the rest of his life and we are grateful to be a part of this work.  Please be assured that we will love him as though he were our own.   May the Lord bless you and your family in the support of your son.
We have enclosed a photo that was taken at our first meeting with the missionaries.
Sincerely,

President Pierre Francois Bize                                    Sister Brigitte Bize
