Well this week has flown by, we have a baptisms today, pretty soon here actually, so I don't have a lot of time to write, I will be giving the talk on baptism. Its so great to be serving here, right now I am really loving my mission. The spirit is there with us everyday and I couldn't be happier working with the Savior to bring back all of my lost brothers and sisters! Life as a missionary is short, yet sweet. And the after-taste (blessings) will last the rest of my life! What more could I ask for! I love you all, Please stay safe this week!

I did a few more drawings for the members here, took a picture of a flower, and then had our pictures taken by a youth who swiped my camera! Sorry the letter wasn't long!

08/12/2013

Well here we are, another week has come and gone, in 6 days that makes 9 months out on my mission! Wooh! It actually kinda sucks though, because I really love my mission and the area that I am serving in right now, the people here are so kind and inviting and they have definitely become my second family! It’s actually really phuni, this past week; the mission installed two new computers here in the church. For the first time the church leaders have to do all of their churchy stuff electronically.... They don’t know how to work the programs really... So the bishop here has kinda called me to be the Tech support for the next few weeks! It’s crazy; I don’t even know if I’m allowed to be doing some of the stuff I do haha. Anyway, they are all astonished by the computers and how much easier it is to turn in all of their paperwork to church headquarters. It makes me laugh sometimes when I think that I’ve somehow been called as tech support for the second time on my mission, I never imagined that, that would be a part of my calling as a missionary!

Also, this week has been really good; we’ve been working a lot with the members in order to find new investigators. We’ve been having some success! Even though it’s not much, I’m proud to say that we have some good quality investigators. For me it’s much more important to have quality rather than quantity. I don’t want to baptize "inactive" members, but people who will trust in the lord and his teachings for the rest of their lives! I’m pretty sure that I am going to be called as the new zone leader here pretty soon; the old zone leaders gave me a heads up. That means that the work load will only be getting bigger, which means that the Lord really is watching over me and knows I need to pay more attention on his work rather than the problems in my "world." I’ve really been gaining a testimony on that lately, that he really does know me individually, my thoughts, feeling and concerns. He knows exactly what I need in order to mend my heart perfectly every time! I love him so much, and am more than happy to give him two years of my life!

As for the pictures this week, the first is of a watercolor that I did for a granny here, it made her really happy that I gave it to her without really having a reason, she smiled which made me smile, which made the work I put into it worth it! The second Picture is for my Ma, because she asks that I take pictures of the flowers here for her! Its ridiculous how many species of flowers there are here, I find a new one every day! That’s about it for this week, the church is true, Jesus is the Christ and Joseph is the Smith! I love you all so much, stay safe this week!

08/05/2013

Well thank you much for the update for this week! I honestly feel like the earth is spinning a little faster than usual, one week seems more like 3 days right now. But this week went by pretty dang well! I saved a few lives, spiritually and physically! I shall explain... this week we fixed a lesson with a less active family, the parents and 1 child are active in the church, yet three of their sons are heavily into the things of this world. I can easily see how well Satan does his work in destroying families, at times it is extremely discouraging how weak and vulnerable we can become, and how fast Satan is there to take advantage of our weakness. Anyway, as we entered into their house is said the usual "how’s it going," stuff like that, and the Father of the family said "not good at all," and then kind of stormed off and sat down in the living room. Obviously something was up so I asked him to explain to us what was bothering him. He explained that his family’s objective is to be sealed in the temple this December, but their children are doing everything but preparing themselves spiritually.

So my companion turned the time over to me and I was prompted to talk about the plan of salvation and our divine objective to live eternally with our Heavenly Father. I explained how lucky we are being members of the only true church, and how the saving ordinances we have can only be done with the proper authority. I explained that Satan will do all he can to destroy your family, and I told them up front that it’s working, but it’s never too late to ask for help. I then asked the kids to share their testimonies with their father, yet we came to find out that they don’t have one. To finish my lesson, I bore testimony of eternal families, and the importance of a testimony in conversion, of course while talking about eternal families I got teary eyed, but I know they understood and felt how important it was, and how they could be throwing away the biggest blessing they could get in this life, which is an eternal family!

At the end, the father bore testimony and said that he was sorry for being angry at his children and sorry that he lost his cool. He said that the message I shared softened his heart immensely, then he said something that surprised my companion and I, he said that if we hadn’t have come, and If we hadn’t shared that exact message with him, he would have burnt his house down that night, just to get his message across to his children... Crazy the thoughts that Satan puts into our minds when were weak, or overwhelmed! Burning a house down won’t change anybody’s mind, yet Satan makes us think that it’s the only way. That was definitely one of the biggest experiences of my mission thus far! God is really letting me know that I am exactly where I need to be at the exact time.

I love My Heavenly father, and I am so honored to be giving all of my time for him and his son for these two years! There is no other place I would rather be! I love you all and hope that you are keeping safe!

As for the photos, just a few of the sunsets that we were blessed with this week, also a branch meeting that we assisted, those are all of the leaders here.
